<You> is a work by Shin Dong-yoon, installed on the wall at the entrance to the underground parking lot of Daewoo Building in Sejong-ro. Hangeul is playing hide and seek with all of us. The moment ‘Hangeul hand’ points to a passerby, the passerby becomes a tagger and seeks someone who loves Hangeul again. Hide-and-seek is not about finding things that aren't there, it's about finding things that are. We all have a love for Hangeul. The moment you realize this, 'you' become the tag of hide and seek in Korean.
The artist said, “I wanted to deliver a message faithful to hide-and-seek and Korean language love. He agonized over the harmony between the visible and hidden paintings, taking into account the fact that the space where the works are installed is conspicuous.
He also induces the conscious or unconscious participation of the audience by using the spatial characteristics of the large wall.”
The phrase engraved on the top is “I found Hangeul” and the phrase engraved on the bottom is “Love/People/Baro/You”. After the stone in the lettering part was cut out, the space was filled with a mixture of stone powder and special pigments.
